Premier League Betting Tips 22nd May – Survival Sunday

Little is on the line for Newcastle and West Brom with both sides safe in the Premier League for another season, although either side can finish in the top 10 depending on results elsewhere.

For Roy Hodgson in particular this would cap a remarkable turnaround and the Baggies have entertained along the way to safety; sometimes in dramatic fashion. The Baggies have actually seen goals scored by both sides in eleven of their last twelve Premier League games and Peter Odemwingie again looks the main threat for Roy Hodgson’s side.

Newcastle have shared the goal burden well since Andy Carroll’s departure in January and have averaged over 2 goals a game at St James Park. Five of Newcastle’s last six home games have ended with both teams scoring and with West Brom not managing a clean sheet on the road all season, goals again for both sides looks likely.

Both teams to score (Newcastle v West Brom) @1.57

Manchester City know three points against Bolton will be enough to secure automatic qualification into the UEFA Champions League regardless of how Arsenal fair at Craven Cottage.

Since the 5-0 humiliation by Stoke in the FA Cup Semi-Final at Wembley, opponents Bolton have rarely looked the same side. News of Johan Elmander’s likely departure is a blow to Owen Coyle and the ambition and direction of the club may come into question over the summer transfer window and the months ahead. Bolton are in particularly poor form and have lost their previous four games on the bounce and even their home record at the Reebok looks shaky recently.

Carlos Tevez has managed to get fit for the last few games of the season and has a chance of winning the Premier League Golden Boot. With automatic Champions League qualification on the line also expect the Argentine talisman to score in what could be his final game for Manchester City.

Carlos Tevez to score anytime @1.83
Additional Tip: Tevez and Berbatov to score anytime double @3.16
Berbatov will definitely start on Sunday, has a phenomenal record at Old Trafford and has already scored twice against Blackpool.
