Premiership Betting Tips – 2-3 November

An inspired performance by Tim Howard including a penalty save from a Christian Benteke penalty blew our BTTS and over 2.5 goals football bets last weekend, but Tottenham’s victory over Hull at least gave us some return.

Sportingly Better picks out the best value Premiership betting tips and football predictions this weekend, as Arsenal host Liverpool.

Premiership Betting Tips

Arsenal (2.30) v Liverpool (3.30); Draw (3.50)

League leaders Arsenal host high-flying Liverpool in the late kick-off on Saturday, with the Gunners looking to bounce back from their midweek Capital One Cup exit.

Arsenal have won seven of their last eight games in the Premier League and although the north London side are currently two points clear at the top of the table, Arsene Wenger will allow few of his players to rest on their laurels after a disappointing showing during the week.

The Gunners have faced just one side in the top eight so far this season, so Saturday’s encounter against in-form Liverpool looks set to be Arsene Wenger’s first real test in the league this term.

Holding midfielder Mathieu Flamini could return to add greater balance to the side, whilst Olivier Giroud is expected to return to the line-up after being rested during the week.

Opponents Liverpool picked up an emphatic 4-1 victory at home to West Brom last weekend, with the Reds having lost just one of their last 17 matches in the Premier League.

Fifteen of Liverpool’s last 17 games away from home in the Premier League have finished with three goals or more and the combination of Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez up front has left Brendan Rodgers’ side in fine goalscoring form of late.

Liverpool have scored two goals or more in their last four matches in the Premier League. Back Liverpool to score over 1.5 goals at 2.37.

Arsenal are undefeated in 15 of their last 16 matches at home against Liverpool in the league, but the form of the visitor’s strike duo makes goals the most assured bet at the Emirates Stadium this weekend.

Manchester City (1.20) v Norwich (18.00); Draw (7.50)

Manchester City will be looking to bounce back from their late defeat at Chelsea, with struggling Norwich the visitors to the Etihad Stadium.

Manchester City are undefeated in 36 of their last 38 matches at home in the Premier League and the Citizens 100% record at home this season will need to be maintained if Manuel Pellegrini’s side are to keep their noses in the title race.

In-form striker Sergio Aguero will be the main danger for the Canaries after scoring six goals in his last four league appearances for the club, whilst three of Yaya Toure’s four goals this season have come at the Etihad Stadium.

Opponents Norwich were unlucky not to pick up all three points against Cardiff last time out, but the Canaries lack of cutting edge in front of goal remains manager Chris Hughton’s biggest worry.

Norwich have only scored more than one goal in the Premier League once this season and injuries to Robert Snodgrass, Ricky van Wolfswinkel and Nathan Redmond are unlikely to appease matters.

Manchester City have won five of their last six meetings against Norwich in all competitions and the hosts look set to continue their home dominance against Norwich this weekend.
