Premiership Betting Tips – 13 May

Wigan’s 1-0 win away at Ewood Park last weekend consigned Blackburn Rovers to relegation to the Football League Championship.

The Latics go into the final game of the season in good form having won four of the last five games in the Premiership. Victories over both Arsenal and Manchester United have highlighted the spirit of Roberto Martinez’s side and Franco Di Santo, Victor Moses and Shaun Maloney have all contributed well. Wigan have also kept it tight at the back with two clean sheets registered in the last three games.

Opponents Wolves recently announced the appointment of Stale Solbakken as Mick McCarthy’s successor and although the Norwegian manager does not officially take charge until the 1st of July, the former Cologne boss will get a chance to analyse what he has to work with at Molineux. Wolves have now not tasted victory in 13 games, but the Black Country side have picked up two consecutive draws against Everton and Swansea in the league.

Wigan have won the last three games at the DW Stadium and the visit of already Wolverhampton Wanderers should be of little challenge for Roberto Martinez’s spirited side.
