Premier League Football Betting Tips – 29-31 March

With a full list of Premier League fixtures to choose from this weekend, Sportingly Better picks out the best Premiership predictions, as Arsenal host Manchester City.

Premier League Betting Tips

Arsenal (3.60) v Manchester City (2.15); Draw (3.50)

Title contenders Manchester City will be looking to keep themselves within three points of league leaders Chelsea, with a trip to the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

The Citizens have won each of their last four matches in the Premier League, with powerhouse Yaya Toure leading the charge with 11 goals in his last 14 games in the league.

Manchester City will again be without top scorer Sergio Aguero, but David Silva is fit to start after overcoming an ankle injury against Manchester United.

The visitors have kept clean sheets in each of their last five games in the Premiership and a sixth successive shut-out this weekend would be a new record for the club in the top-flight.

Hosts Arsenal have won just three of their last nine games in the league, with Mathieu Flamini’s stoppage time own goal highlighting the Gunners increasingly lacklustre displays coming into the business end of the season.

Arsene Wenger has no fresh injury concerns but Theo Walcott, Jack Wilshere, Aaron Ramsey, Mesut Ozil and Laurent Koscielny are all missing.

Arsenal have however not lost any of their last 14 matches at home in the league, with the Gunners still managing to score two or more goals in five of their last six games at the Emirates Stadium, but defensively Saturday may bring the north London side problems with the threat from corners an obvious play for the Citizens.

A win for the visitors in London would reaffirm Manchester City’s title credentials and after winning 12 of their last 14 matches in the Premier League, the in-form Citizens look well priced to inflict another defeat on their waning opponents.

Manchester United (1.45) v Aston Villa (8.00); Draw (4.75)

Manchester United will be looking to bounce back from a comprehensive defeat in the Manchester derby, with Aston Villa the visitors to Old Trafford on Saturday.

The Red Devils may have one eye on Tuesday’s Champions League clash with Bayern Munich, but David Moyes will know that another defeat at home in the league could be costly.

The hosts will be without Robin van Persie, but club captain Nemanja Vidic does return after suspension. Defenders Johnny Evans and Chris Smalling are both doubts.

Manchester United have lost only one of the last 34 meetings against Aston Villa at Old Trafford in all competitions, but the hosts ailing form and performances leaves the chance for an away win

Visitors Aston Villa saw their run of back-to-back wins over Chelsea and Norwich come to an abrupt end, with Stoke emphatic 4-1 winners at Villa Park.

The Midlands club again look overly reliant on star striker Christian Benteke, who has found some resemblance of last season’s form with three goals in as many games for the Villains.

Strike partners Gabriel Agbonlahor and Andreas Weimann have both not scored since January, but the away side will still fancy their chances of scoring after seeing Manchester United concede with increasing regularity at Old Trafford.

A win for the Red Devils would be the perfect riposte from the Manchester derby and with an aerial protest against David Moyes this weekend, the manager will be keen to show his mettle for the job as the hosts warm up to Tuesday’s all-or-nothing clash with European champions Bayern Munich.
