International Football Accumulator Tips – 23 June

Selections from the Confederations Cup and the U20 World Cup make up the best bets for this weekend’s football accumulator tips, returning odds of 6.30 on the treble.

Accumulator Tips

Nigeria (13.00) v Spain (1.22); Draw (6.00)

Spain’s 10-0 victory over Tahiti on Thursday virtually guaranteed la Roja‘s place in the Confederations Cup semi-finals, but the World and European champions will be mindful of complacency going into the last game of the group.

Spain have won seven of their last eight international matches and the tournament favourites are as short as 1.22 to retain their 100% record in the competition so far.

Opponents Nigeria have scored in each of their last 12 international matches, but the Super Eagles chances are likely to be far less likely against a dominant Spanish side on Sunday.

Luis Suarez’s spectacular free kick in the opening game of Group B has been the only goal that la Roja have conceded in this year’s Confederations Cup and Vicente Del Bosque’s fresh and rejuvenated side should be too strong for the African champions tonight.

Uruguay(1.002) v Tahiti (151.00); Draw (81.00)

Diego Forlan’s winner against Nigeria in Salvador put Uruguay firmly in the driving seat for the semi-finals as la Celeste chase an unlikely competition win.

Oscar Tabarez’s three-pronged attack of Luis Suarez, Edinson Cavani and Diego Forlan will have the perfect opportunity to enhance their own international goalscoring records on Sunday, with all three strikers odds on to score at least two goals in the match this weekend.

Opponents Tahiti have conceded 16 goals in their two games in competition so far and the game in Recife on Sunday has a handicap of 8, 8.5 goals in favour of la Celeste with various bookmakers.

Having already scored against Spain in the opening round, Liverpool’s Luis Suarez looks likely to make his move for the Confederations Cup Golden Boot this weekend, in what is expected to be another high scoring defeat for Tahiti.

England U20 (1.50) v Iraq U20 (7.00); Draw (4.00)

After an abject performance at the European Under 21 Championship a few weeks ago, England Under-20s manager Peter Taylor has spoken about putting English football “back on the map” as the Young Lions aim to restore some pride at the U-20 World Cup.

England have only ever reached the semi-finals twice in their history, but Peter Taylor’s side have been somewhat surprisingly installed as joint favourites with Chile to finish top of Group E, despite only managing to score once in their last 16 matches in the U-20 World Cup.

Victory in the opening group game will be key for England if they are to qualify out of the group and despite the endeavour of their opponents Iraq, the Young Lions should kick off their World Cup campaign with a win on Sunday.
