Chelsea v Leicester – Betting Preview

Chelsea’s title quest kicked off in impressive fashion on Monday night, despite falling a goal behind at Turf Moor.

Sportingly Better tipster Jonathan Day takes a look at the Premier League leader’s next match against Leicester City this weekend, with another high-scoring victory for the Blues predicted.

Chelsea (1.20) v Leicester (17.00); Draw (7.50)

Premier League leaders Chelsea take on their second promoted side in as many weeks, with Leicester the visitors to Stamford Bridge today.

Jose Mourinho has no new injury concerns ahead of today’s match, with Filipe Luis still awaiting his debut for the club, with Cesar Azpilicueta again preferred at left-back.

Chelsea have scored at least four goals against Leicester in each of their last three meetings in all competitions and after firing three goals against Burnley last time out, the Blues’ new cutting edge up front with Diego Costa may prove to be profitable once again.

Mourinho’s astute signings of Costa and Cesc Fabregas over the summer have pushed Chelsea as the 2/1 favourites with Titan Bet to win the title this year, with Chelsea legend Didier Drogba now back at the club and more than capable of playing a back-up role for the Blues this year.

Opponents Leicester will be without central midfielders Danny Drinkwater and Matt James but new signing Marc Albrighton could feature for the Foxes today.

Leicester twice fought back to earn a well-deserved point against Everton on the opening day of the season, but manager Nigel Pearson will be mindful of the threat he will encounter with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Leicester have only won four of their previous 45 league visits to Stamford Bridge, a record that is unlikely to improve despite the clubs recent showing of enterprise and determination.

Chelsea have won each of the last six meetings, scoring 20 goals in the process and another high-scoring victory appears to be on the cards for the west London club on Saturday.
