Accumulator Betting – 24 June

Selections from the 2014 FIFA World Cup make up the bets for today’s football accumulator tips on Sportingly Better, returning odds of 8.26.

Football Accumulator Tips

Italy (2.60) v Uruguay (2.90); Draw (3.40)

Uruguay will be looking to build on their 2-1 victory over England to secure their passage into the knockout rounds at the expense of group opponents Italy on Tuesday.

The South American side must win in Natal today to qualify and la Celeste look likely to play with both Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavani up front.

Opponents Italy were stunned by Costa Rica last time out, but a draw against Uruguay would be enough for Cesare Prandelli’s side to qualify.

A switch to a 3-5-2 formation could offer the Azzurri more width and joy especially down the left and although the European side are well versed in qualifying for the knockout stages, the dangers of Italy only needing a point to qualify makes Uruguay to attack and Suarez to score a more driven bet.

Costa Rica (4.20) v England (1.85); Draw (4.00)

Costa Rica will go into their final game in Group D having already secured qualification to the knockout stages, following back-to-back wins over Uruguay and Italy.

Jorge Luis Pinto will have to decide whether he should rest some of his players or secure the top spot needed to avoid Colombia in the next round and changes on both sides of the pitch are likely to lead to another opening encounter at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Opponents England will bid to avoid defeat in all three of their group games for the first time in their history, after defeats against Italy and Uruguay so far.

England manager Roy Hodgson will ring the changes with only Gary Cahill and Daniel Sturridge keeping their place in the Three Lions line-up.

Despite Pinto’s temptation to rest players for the match, the Ticos will want to continue their impressive set of results in Group D and with just a point needed to top the group, Costa Rica could inflict yet more misery on England.

Greece (4.00) v Ivory Coast (2.00); Draw (3.60)

Greece will be bidding to secure an unlikely place in the last 16 of the World Cup, despite failing to score in either of their opening two games in Group C.

A cautious approach is again likely to be adopted by Fernando Santos, with Ethniki having to endure the heat of Natal with 10 men against Japan last time out.

Kostas Katsouranis is suspended so Giorgios Karagounis will deputise, whilst a change in attack may see Theofanis Gekas and Dimitrios Salpingidis come into the side.

Opponents Ivory Coast know that a point may well be enough to escape the group stages, but the Elephants will be going for the win against an unadventurous side.

Ivory Coast have scored in each of their last 27 internationals and the African side will look to secure the win they need to assure their place in the knockout stages on Tuesday.
