Weekend Football Tips 5th/6th November

Caen host newly promoted Dijon at the Stade Michel d’Ornano and both sides have yet to pick up a win since September.

Caen have so far been more cautious at home, scoring just 5 goals (3 of which coming from the penalty spot), but the visit of 17th placed Dijon represents a good opportunity to distance themselves from the wrong end of the table.

Caen have scored in all but one of their games in Ligue 1 so far, but defensively Franck Dumas’ side are vulnerable and have shipped 19 goals in just 12 games including 4 goals last time out against PSG. Dijon have the worst defensive record in Ligue 1 conceding 25 goals and with 14 goals coming away from home, both teams look likely to get on the score sheet in Sunday’s game.

Both teams to score (Caen v Dijon) @2.00

Huddersfield currently occupy 2nd place in League One, just 3 points away from leaders Charlton Athletic. The Terriers are on a 41 match unbeaten run and have won 5 out of the last 6 games.

Visitors to the Galpharm Stadium are Walsall who currently sit just 1 place above the drop zone. Walsall have lost 3 on the bounce and have not won away from home since a 2-0 victory over Bournemouth back in August.

Lee Clark’s side are joint top goalscorers and striker Jordan Rhodes looks the star turn having scored 11 goals so far this term. Huddersfield have the second best defensive record in the league and should be too strong for the Saddlers on Saturday.

Huddersfield -1 Asian Handicap @1.65
