Premier League Fantasy Football Tips – Gameweek 7

Gameweek 7 Fantasy Player Picks

GW7 (from): Given, de Gea, Kompany S Taylor, Bosingwa, Jones, Riise, Sinclair, Ramires, Young, Nani, Silva, Aguero, Agbonlahor, Adebayor

Captain Choices

Emmanuel Adebayor (TOT)

Tipped last week as a potential transfer, Emmanuel Adebayor is again realising his Premiership pedigree. In just 3 games the Togo international has scored 3 goals, picked up an assist and as well as racking up 5 bonus points in the process. Adebayor has history of scoring against Gameweek 7’s opponents Arsenal, where the striker famously ran the whole length of the pitch to celebrate in front of the Arsenal fans after scoring for Manchester City.

Other Contenders: Luka Modric, Gareth Bale

Luis Nani (MUN)

Nani is only second to Sergio Aguero in the fantasy form table and has really come to life in the last few gameweeks scoring 2 goals, picking up 2 assists and collecting 7 bonus points in his last 4 Premier League games. The flamboyant Portugeuse midfielder will fancy himself against the newly promoted Canaries and has been a regular in Sir Alex Ferguson’s side in recent weeks and should again take to the field for the full 90 minutes.

Other Contenders: Ashley Young, Wayne Rooney

Sergio Aguero (MCI)

Sergio Aguero has been a revelation this season for Manchester City scoring an incredible 8 goals in his opening 6 games, along with 2 assists and 9 bonus points. With Tevez refusing to take to the field, the rotation that many fantasy managers feared amongst Roberto Mancini’s side seems likely to be reduced with the former Manchester United man isolating himself away from the club and the Italian manager. Aguero looks assured of a regular starting birth and should continue his run of form against a Blackburn defence that has already conceded 13 goals this season.

Other Contenders: David Silva, Edin Dzeko

Transfer Picks

Ramires (CHE) – 7.1m

One of the best value midfielders in the top sides, Brazillian Ramires goes into Gameweek 7 in some form after hitting a brace and picking up 3 bonus points against Swansea.  Ramires has not missed a minute of football under manager Andre Villas-Boas and seems to be given license to play and push further forward.

Gabby Agbonlahor (AVL) – 6.9m

Villa’s Agbonlahor has arguably made his finest start to a Premier League campaign and has scored 3 goals in his opening 6 games so far this season. Coupled with 2 assists and  6 bonus points, Agbonlahor provides a value striking alternative for a player who is in good form. Aston Villa are at home to Wigan in Gameweek 7.

Demba Ba (NEW) – 6.1m

Demba Ba’s season finally got under way with a hat trick against Blackburn Rovers. This was only the second game Ba has played where he has been on the pitch for more than 45 minutes for Alan Pardew’s side and the Senegalese striker should be considered Newcastle’s main striker at least until the January transfer window given his European and International pedigree. Ba should do well against a Wolves defence that has shipped 7 goals in their last 3 games.
