Premier League Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 15

Gameweek 15 Fantasy Player Picks

GW15 (from): de Gea, Vorm, Johnson, R Taylor, Olsson, Vermaelen, Jones, Walcott, Sessegnon, Nani, Adam, Bale, Suarez, Yakubu, Van Persie

Choices

Robin Van Persie (ARS)

Van Persie was just one of a handful of first team regulars rested by Arsene Wenger for the midweek Champions League tie in Greece with the Gunners already qualified for the knock out stages. Arsenal face Everton at the Emirates on Saturday and Van Persie continues his rich goalscoring run in 2011. The Dutch forward collected 15 points last time out with a goal and 2 assists in the 4-0 win over Wigan and Van Persie has now managed 13 goals in 9 Premier League matches.

Other Contenders: Theo Walcott, Thomas Vermaelen

Wayne Rooney (MUN)

With Manchester United’s attack severely depleted, Wayne Rooney will be tasked with leading the line and will be hoping to find the back of the net for the first time in 8 Premier League games. Manchester United have been a long way away from goals in recent weeks, but the visit of Wolves who have shipped 12 goals in their last 5 away games, should give renewed hope to the England striker.

Other Contenders: Nani, Nemanja Vidic

Transfer Picks

Shane Long (WBA) – 5.7m

With Peter Odemwingie increasingly isolated and distanced from manager Roy Hodgson, summer signing Shane Long now appears to be the Baggies first choice striker. The Irish striker has scored two goals in three games for West Brom picking up 5 bonus points along the way and the visit of Wigan to the Hawthorns provides Long with the perfect opportunity to add to his recent goal tally.

Phil Jones (MUN) – 6.4m

The promising versatile England international scored his first goal for Manchester United last Saturday, with a well taken finish in the box against Aston Villa in Gameweek 14. Manchester United have kept 4 clean sheets in the last 5 games and with Jones finding his feet in midfield, the former Blackburn Rovers player could be a sound investment for the next few gameweeks.

Yakubu (BLA) – 5.6m

Yakubu’s 4 goal haul against Swansea in Gameweek 14 catapulted the Nigerian to the attention of fantasy managers. Before Saturday’s game, Yakubu had managed 3 goals in 4 games in a struggling Blackburn Rovers side and his 4 goals last time out makes “The Yak” the most in-form player in the Premier League currently. With Sunderland, West Brom and Bolton the opponents for the next 3 gameweeks, Yakubu could prove a sound investment in the short term for fantasy managers.
