Premier League Fantasy Football Tips – Gameweek 14

Gameweek 14 Fantasy Player Picks

GW14 (from): Friedel, Vorm, Kompany, Young, Richards, Jones, Baines, Walcott, Fellaini, Bale, Mata, Silva, Van Persie, Hernandez, Adebayor

Choices

Robin Van Persie (ARS)

With Arsenal assured of Champions League qualification, Robin Van Persie should again feature for the full 90 minutes. Despite drawing a blank last time out against Fulham, Van Persie has still struck 10 goals in his last 6 Premier League games. Gameweek 14 opponents Wigan have conceded 11 goals at the DW Stadium and have not kept a clean sheet since August. With Tottenham performing strongly Van Persie, Walcott and co will want to ensure they maintain the pressure on their north London rivals.

Other Contenders: Theo Walcott, Vermaelen

Javier Hernandez (MUN)

The Mexican’s goal against Newcastle last time out made it 4 goals in 6 Premier League outings for Chicharito. Opponents Aston Villa have conceded just 6 goals at Villa Park so far this season, although the Midlands club has had a favourable run of fixtures to date. With Hernandez unlikely to start Manchester United’s crucial qualifier against Basel, Chicharito should again find himself in the starting line-up and will be determined to carry on his recent goalscoring form.

Other Contenders: Wayne Rooney, Nani

Emmanuel Adebayor (TOT)

Currently topping the fantasy form charts is Tottenham’s striker Emmanuel Adebayor. The Togo striker has notched back to back braces against Aston Villa and West Brom and in the last two gameweeks Adebayor has picked up 27 points, helped by an assist and 6 bonus points. Spurs face Bolton in Gameweek 14  who have conceded an average of 2 goals a game away from the Reebok stadium.

Other Contenders: Gareth Bale, Rafael Van der Vaart

Transfer Picks

Gareth Bale (TOT) – 8.6m

Highlighted last week Gareth Bale continues to impress for Tottenham. After the assist against West Brom last time, Bale has now set up 4 goals in his last 3 games. In his last 4 Premier League games, the Welshman has also scored 3 goals as well as earning 7 bonus points and Bale’s form should continue against Bolton on Saturday.
