Fantasy Football Tips – Gameweek 36

Jordan Henderson was the highest points scorer in Gameweek 35, as Liverpool brushed aside Newcastle 6-0 at St James Park.

Christian Benteke hit a hat-trick as Aston Villa romped to a 6-1 win over Sunderland and West Brom beat Southampton, with on-loan striker Romelu Lukaku scoring.

Elsewhere Spurs slipped to a 2-2 draw at the DW Stadium, despite Gareth Bale’s best efforts and Steven Pienaar scored the only goal of the game as Everton beat Fulham.

Sportingly Better picks out the best fantasy football tips for Gameweek 36 as Liverpool host Everton.

Chelsea, Manchester City, Swansea, Tottenham, West Brom and Wigan all play twice during Gameweek 36.

Captain Choices

Gareth Bale (TOT)

The PFA and Football Writers’ Player of the Year scored his 10th goal in 11 games last weekend and Bale’s increasing contribution and return of assists for Spurs has left few to argue with the Welshman’s recent haul of personal accolades.

Bale’s impressive run for Tottenham shows no signs of waning and the Wales international’s performances in the Premier League have been rewarded by a score of 24 bonus points over the last 13 gameweeks.

Tottenham enjoy fixtures against Southampton and Chelsea in Gameweek 36 and after scoring against the Saints in the reverse fixture back in October, Bale remains an obvious choice for the captain’s armband this week.

Sergio Aguero (MCI)

Manchester City’s most in-form striker played for the full 90 minutes on Saturday for the first time in seven games and the Argentinean striker will be keen to end the season with a flourish, after enduring a disappointing second season in English football.

Aguero’s slotted opener against West Ham last weekend was only the 11th goal that the Argentina international has scored in the Premier League, but the Citizen’s forward could still reach 15 goals this season, with the likes of Samir Nasri and Yaya Toure creeping into form and creativity.

Opponents Swansea have kept just two clean sheets in their last 10 games, whilst West Brom have managed only two clean sheets in their last six outings in the Premiership and the Argentinean forward could return a prolific score this gameweek.

Carlos Tevez (MCI)

Tevez has started in each of Manchester City’s last seven games in the Premier League and despite the impending return of Sergio Aguero to the line-up, Tevez should feature in both matches during Gameweek 36.

An assist against West Brom and a goal against Swansea in the reverse fixtures, highlight Tevez’s form against Manchester City’s opponents in Gameweek 36 and the Argentinean forward should replicate his earlier returns this weekend.

Transfer Tips

Shaun Maloney (WIG) – £5.3m

Shaun Maloney’s 11th minute corner proved to be the perfect delivery for Emerson Boyce on Saturday, but that goal along with Callum McManaman’s stunning second half effort were not enough to give Wigan all three points.

Maloney has returned his best ever tally in the Premier League of five goals and seven assists this season and the former Aston Villa and Celtic midfielder traditionally enjoys an end of season run of form to coincide with that of Wigan’s.

Wigan face West Bromwich Albion and Swansea during Gameweek 36 and the Latics’ midfielder’s delivery and threat from set-pieces could once again help Wigan stave off relegation going into the final few games of the season.

Romelu Lukaku (WBA) – £6.7m

West Brom’s Romelu Lukaku rounded goalkeeper Artur Boruc to score his 14th Premier League goal of the season on Saturday and the on-loan Chelsea striker will be keen to prove his worth to his parent club.

Lukaku had a hand in all three of West Brom’s goals last weekend and the Belgium international’s set-up play continues to show signs of improving, after picking up four assists in his last three appearances for the club.

West Brom face Wigan and Manchester City in Gameweek 36 and the powerful forward will be eager to stake his claim in Chelsea’s squad for next season.
