European Football Tips For The Weekend 9th & 10th April

The chase for the Ligue 1 title is hotting up in France with Marseille just 4 points behind Lille in second place. Lille might be playing better than L’OM but Didier Deschamps side have still picked up vital wins in recent weeks including 7 of the last 8 games. Deschamps has recently reiterated his commitment to the defending champions as they bid to reign in on surprise package Lille and with the likes of Loic Remy, Andre-Pierre Gignac, Andre Ayew and Lucho Gonzalez have a side fully capable of that.

This weekend’s opponents are Toulouse who are experiencing a bad run of recent form after a season that began with promise winning the opening 4 matches. Recently and Toulouse have only won 1 in the last 7 games losing 5 and with Marseille gunning for the title, L’OM will fancy another 3 points against the side they beat in November.

Marseille to win @1.5

Third meets sixth in the Bundesliga as Nurnberg welcome German giants Bayern Munich to the Frankenstadion, as Bayern Munich look to fend off the advances of Hannover and secure the third Champions League berth. Since losing to Hannover Louis van Gaal’s side have won 3 on the bounce scoring 9 goals in the process. The Bavarians are an attacking force especially away from with all 5 of Bayern Munich’s last 5 away games featuring at least 3 goals.

Nurnberg are performing above expectations this season and will want to finish high up in the Bundesliga and hopefully secure Europa League qualification. Dieter Hecking’s success this season has been rooted in their home form winning 9 out of 14 at the Frankenstadion with goals also usually to be found. With both sides pressing to cement respective European qualification an open and attacking game is likely.

Over 2.5 goals (Nurnberg v Bayern Munich) @1.57
