Europa League Predictions Semi-Final Second Legs 2010/2011

As we predicted at the quarter final stage an All Portuguese Europa League Final looks set for the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on the 18th May with Benfica carrying an advantage against Braga from the first leg and Porto strong favourites with a four goal lead over Vilarreal.

With 7 out of the last 10 Europa League semi-final second legs going over the 2.5 goals mark, this week we turn our attention to Vilarreal v Porto and with good reason too after seeing 6 goals shared in the first leg.

Porto have been as dominant in Europe as they have been domestically and have already wrapped up the Portuguese Liga title under Villas Boas. With Falcao and Hulk, Porto are a very attacking outfit and have scored 3 goals or more in each of their last seven games in all competitions. Porto haven’t been particularly solid at the back in the last couple of months and have not kept a clean sheet in their last ten games in all competitions.

El Submarino Amarillo have been just as leaky at the back recently and have only kept one clean sheet in their last seven games in all competitions conceding 3 goals twice and 5 goals twice in that run. Both teams to score @1.50 is therefore a consideration but with the Europa League’s top two goalscorers on show (Falcao with 15 goals and Rossi with 10 goals) the better odds are with the overs market for ITV4’s live offering of Europa League football.

Over 2.5 goals (Vilarreal v FC Porto) @1.57
