Capital One Cup Predictions – 29-30 October

The last 16 of the Capital One Cup forms the basis of the action in English football this week, with Chelsea’s visit to Arsenal arguably the tie of the round.

Sportingly Better picks out the best football predictions and football betting tips, as Manchester United host Norwich City.

Capital One Cup Predictions

Manchester United (1.33) v Norwich (11.00); Draw (5.50)

David Moyes will be looking to continue Manchester United’s five-game unbeaten run, with Norwich the opponents in the Capital One Cup on Tuesday.

Strikers Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie are both likely to be rested, so Mexican poacher Javier Hernandez is likely to lead the line for Manchester United on Tuesday.

Loan-touted Wilfried Zaha is likely to be given a chance out wide, along with the seemingly unfavoured Shinji Kagawa.

Opponents Norwich have scored a combined total of nine goals in their two League Cup games this season, but struggles in the league suggest progression in this competition might not be a priority.

Norwich have not lost to Manchester United in any of their three League Cup meetings and the Canaries may prove to be tougher opponents than the current betting handicap suggests.

Manchester United have won 10 of their last 11 League Cup ties at Old Trafford and although the Premier League champions have yet to exert the same sort of dominance during the new era, David Moyes’ side should have more than enough to continue their unbeaten run and book their place in the Capital One Cup quarter finals.
