Weekend Football Tips – 30-31 March
Our football tips for the weekend come from La Liga as Real Madrid travel to Zaragoza.
Weekend Football Predictions
Zaragoza (8.20) v Real Madrid (1.45); Draw (5.1)
Zaragoza slumped to a demoralising 4-0 defeat in Sevilla two weeks ago and the Blanquillos continue to fall down the table.
Manolo Jimenez received a vote of confidence from the board after that game, but Real Zaragoza are still yet to win in the league in 2013 and are currently enduring a run of seven defeats in their last 11 matches in La Liga.
Zaragoza have not won at La Romareda in the league since a 5-3 victory over relegation rivals Deportivo in November and Jimenez will have to contend with both Real Madrid and Barcelona in their next two matches at home.
Ivan Obradovic and Franco Zuculini are still sidelined, whilst Apono is considered a doubt for the game this weekend.
Zaragoza have not scored in their last three matches in La Liga. BACK Real Madrid to keep a clean sheet @2.25.
Visitors Real Madrid have won their last six matches in La Liga and los Merengues will be keen to finish above their city rivals Atletico Madrid.
Jose Mourinho‘s changes from the bench once again proved to be the difference, with los Blancos having to come from behind against Mallorca to win 5-2 at the Bernabeu last time out.
Real Madrid have no injury concerns going into the game, but Mourinho may choose to freshen up his squad for Saturday’s game following the international break.
Los Merengues’ confidence appears to be growing and their goal difference in La Liga has been steadily improving in recent weeks with Real scoring two or more goals in each of their last six games in the league.
Real Madrid won the reverse fixture 6-0 earlier in the season and Jose Mourinho’s side should comfortably secure another victory against Zaragoza, as the Spanish giants prepare for their match with Galatasaray in the Champions League on Wednesday.
