Weekend Football Tips – 20-21 April

Our football tips for the weekend come from La Liga as Real Madrid host Real Betis.

Weekend Football Tips

Real Madrid (1.25) v Real Betis (10.00); Draw (6.00)

A magical free-kick from Cristiano Ronaldo helped kick-start Real Madrid’s 3-0 win against Athletic Bilbao last time out and los Merengues will be looking to maintain their impressive home record against Real Betis on Saturday.

Real Madrid have yet to taste defeat at the Santiago Bernabeu in La Liga this season and 11 out of their 13 victories at home have come from a winning margin of two goals or more.

Xabi Alonso remains suspended and Michael Essien is a doubt, so defender Pepe may move forward into midfield.

Jose Mourinho is likely to make a number of changes going into the match with Real Madrid facing Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Wednesday, so Kaka, Marcelo, Raul Albiol and Jose Callejon could all make rare starts for the club.

Real Madrid have scored four or more goals in five of their last seven matches at home in La Liga. Back Real Madrid to score over 3.5 goals at 3.40.

Opponents Real Betis are flying high in La Liga and the Verdiblancos go into the weekend’s fixtures just two points off a Europa League spot in seventh place.

Real Betis have won seven matches away from home in La Liga this season, but a less than impressive away record against sides in the top half of the table could see the Sevilla based club lose their shot at Europe this time around.

Despite a number of expected changes for the home side, Real Madrid’s dominant record at the Santiago Bernabeu should continue and los Merengues should enjoy another healthy win in the Spanish capital on Saturday.
