Weekend Football Predictions – 12-13 May
Bordeaux are finishing the season strongly with four wins on the bounce and FCGB dispatched Auxerre 4-2 away from home last time out.
Francis Gillot’s side have only lost twice at Stade Chaban Delmas all season winning on eight occasions including the last two against top half sides Marseille and Rennes. Top goalscorer Yoann Gouffran also picked up a brace last time out. Bordeaux can finish as high as fifth with victory on Sunday against a Lorient side who are the division’s joint-second lowest scorers.
Lorient will be playing football in Ligue 1 again next season, but Les Merlus will have to address their form away from the artificial pitch at the Stade du Moustoir, where Lorient have managed to just one away win all season. Lorient have managed just three victories in the last 21 games and former Arsenal and Middlesborough striker Jeremie Aliadiere is also injured.
With Lorient guaranteed Ligue 1 football next season, Bordeaux should sign off their league campaign with another victory on Sunday.
