Weekend Football Predictions 11-12 February

Two weeks ago we highlighted Espanyol against Granada and the Catalan side duly delivered. A fortnight on and Periquitos are level with Levante on 42 points and Mauricio Pochettino’s side could climb above their rivals with Levante travelling to the Bernabeu this weekend.

Espanyol rescued a point in a 3-3 draw with Athletic Bilbao at San Mames with Juan Albin scoring a late strike to take Espanyol’s unbeaten run to seven games in the Primera Liga. The Periquitos have won six out of 10 games at the Estadi Cornella-El Prat and opponents Zaragoza remain rock bottom, 11 points adrift of Vilarreal in 17th position.

Last time out Zaragoza collapsed late on despite leading for 75 minutes of the match against Rayo Vallecano. Zaragoza are winless on the road and have lost eight out of 11 games this season and goals are the main concern still for Manolo Jimenez’s side with just 16 goals all season. The odds on the home win are appealing given the opponents for Espanyol.
