Back to Bilbao for this Weekends Football Betting Tips – Nov 2010

Regular readers will be aware that I’ve now made decent profits on Athletic Bilbao this season, who in my opinion look the pick of the teams outside the top two who ironically meet in the El Clasico this weekend.

Athletic Bilbao welcome Osasuna to San Mames who are in poor recent form away from home having lost 4 of the last 5 fixtures. Athletic Bilbao have been ahead in 11 of 12 games at home this year and the HT/FT market again lacks value for me. Athletic Bilbao HT/Athletic Bilbao FT trades at 2.62. For me again the best value rests in Athletic Bilbao to win the first half at 2.30. However the safest of bets would be on the win over 90 minutes.

Athletic Bilbao to win @1.72

Again I fancy another familiar bet this week in Europe. Goals are always on the menu in Germany who still boast an over 2.5 goal average of 65%. One match to watch out for this weekend is Hamburg who take on Stuttgart. Hamburg have gone over this mark in 4 of their last 5 and Stuttgart in 3 of their last 4 games in all competitions. Hamburg are in poor form, but are a different outfit at home. 2.1 on the win also looks good value.

El Clasico Special

Some games need no introduction and this is certainly one of them. El Clasico this weekend is at the Nou Camp and Barcelona have a strong recent head to head record and can make it 5 wins in a row. But Real Madrid are a different proposition under Jose Mourinho and are hard to beat. Lionel Messi is in incredible form and is finding the back of the net extraordinarily regularly scoring 15 goals in only 10 games. Messi also has form in El Clasico scoring 4 goals in the last 4 meetings. Curiously Messi has never scored against a side managed by Jose Mourinho.

Lionel Messi to score anytime @2.1
