Tottenham (2.50) v Liverpool (3.00); Draw (3.40)

The ‘normal one’ will be making his Premier League bow this weekend, as Liverpool look to make it a record sixth consecutive win against Spurs.

Hosts Tottenham are however the much better side; boasting the joint-best defensive record in the league, whilst six goals in the club’s last two matches highlight the fact that their attacking options are finally beginning to gel.

Spurs will be without striker Son Heung-min, so once again the onus will fall on forward Harry Kane to get back to his form from last year and add to his one goal tally thiss term.

Midfielders Nabil Bentaleb and Ryan Mason are both out and the suspension to Eric Dier means Mauricio Pochettino may shuffle his pack slightly at the back to maintain his side’s undefeated record since the opening weekend of the season.

Tottenham’s aspirations of a Champions League finish could come under scrutiny here, but there is no doubt that Spurs are quietly going about their business this year. No team has conceded fewer goals than Spurs this season, whilst the Lilywhites have now scored in each of their last seven matches.

Pochettino’s men are the side to beat with UK-licensed sportsbook TonyBet giving odds of 2.40 vs 2.85 in Tottenham‘s favour for Saturday’s lunchtime clash.

Opponents Liverpool will be looking to make it six wins on the spin against this weekend’s opponents, but the Reds have to arrest their alarming form on the road that has seen the club win just one of their last nine matches in the Premier League.

The visitors have suffered injury blows to Danny Ings and Joe Gomez, which could see the pair miss the rest of the campaign, whilst Christian Benteke, Jordan Henderson and Roberto Firmino are all out.

A lot of interest is already on Jurgen Klopp’s maiden line-up and shape, but a realistic view to the new managers approach and tactics will be more apparent once injuries have subsided.

Despite a below-par campaign so far, the Reds are only three points away from the top-four and avoiding defeat at White Hart Lane will see Jurgen Klopp’s side avoid losing any ground to one of their closest challengers.

Liverpool have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their last eight matches in all competitions and the form of the hosts should see goals kick off this weekend’s betting action in the Premier League.
