Real Valladolid v Barcelona – Betting Preview

Sportingly Better takes a look at the best value football tips this weekend as Barcelona take on Real Valladolid in La Liga.

Weekend Football Tips

Real Valladolid (12.00) v Barcelona (1.20); Draw (7.00)

Barcelona will be looking to maintain their pressure on Real Madrid at the top of La Liga, with a trip to the Estadio Jose Zorrilla on Saturday.

Barca suffered a rare 3-1 defeat away to Real Sociedad last time out, but prior to that Tata Martino’s side picked up eight wins from 12 matches on the road this season.

The Catalans will again be without Gerard Pique at the back and the continued absence of the Spain international is likely to hinder Barca’s chances of recording a shut out this weekend.

Barcelona have failed to keep a clean sheet in five of their last six matches away from the Camp Nou and the pressure and expectation of going all-out for the win every weekend has often left Martino’s side short at the back.

Opponents Real Valladolid have won just one of their last 10 matches in La Liga, but last weekend’s 1-1 draw away at Malaga did at least pull the side to within three points of safety.

Valladolid have lost all eight of their last meetings with Barcelona, but the hosts may find some success aerially against the visitors this weekend.

A Barcelona victory whilst conceding has paid out a total of 15 times in La Liga this season and with Pique’s continued absence, the visitors look unlikely to record another shut out on the road on Saturday.
