Premiership Predictions – 3-4 March

With rivals Manchester United not playing until Sunday, Manchester City will have the chance to extend their lead at the top of the table with relegation threatened Bolton Wanderers the visitors at the Etihad Stadium.

Last weekend’s 3-0 win over Blackburn Rovers was the fifth 3-0 victory at home this season and the odds of a sixth against Bolton on Saturday is priced at 6.50.

Manchester City continue to express their superiority and dominance at Eastlands and finished the match against Blackburn Rovers with 78% of the possession and 21 shots on goal compared to the visitors solitary effort. Roberto Mancini’s side have scored exactly three goals in each of the last five games at the Etihad Stadium, whilst the opposition has failed to score in four of those matches.

Opponents Bolton Wanderers have won just twice in the Premier League in 2012 and have also been poor travellers of late. The Trotters have lost their last three away games on the bounce conceding eight goals without reply. On loan defender Dedryck Boyata is ineligible to face his parent club, whilst Kevin Davies, Mark Davies and Gretar Steinsson are all doubts, joining a host of players already sidelined for Owen Coyle’s side. Bolton have only scored once in their last four Premier League games.

With a dominant home record and a virtually fully fit side, Manchester City should yet again score record a comfortable victory and maintain their 100% record at Eastlands and with Bolton unlikely to score, City should at least equal or clear the two goal handicap on the Asian market.

Manchester City -2AH (Asian Handicap) @1.525
