Premiership Predictions – 21 March
Second meets fourth in the Premier League tonight with Roberto Di Matteo’s Chelsea side the visitors to the Etihad Stadium.
Manchester City have a dominant record at home having won all 14 games in the Premier League this season, averaging three goals scored. The defensive display of just six goals conceded at Eastlands may be challenged tonight however, with both Lescott and Kompany set to miss the top of the table clash. With Savic likely to play at centre half, Yaya Toure may be tasked with providing additional defensive cover along with Nigel De Jong against a resurgent Chelsea side.
On the attacking front, Fernando Torres ended his day long goal drought and the brace against Leicester City will likely boost the Spanish striker’s confidence, whilst want-away striker Carlos Tevez may get up to 20 minutes of game time tonight for Manchester City.
With Manchester City eager to keep the pressure on league leaders Manchester United and with Chelsea scrapping to secure Champions League football next term, goals for both sides looks likely in an encounter that both sides will be hoping to win.
