Premiership Football Betting Review. Gameweek 13

Manchester United is the early kick off in a full fixture list this weekend with a trip to their happy hunting ground of Villa Park ahead of the forthcoming international games with some good value bets across a number of games.

Tottenham have stuttered domestically since their valiant heroics both home and away against an Inter side with draws against a decent looking Bolton side and Sunderland, and despite having a few injury worries ahead of the game look a value bet to triumph. Although their home form has been average at best, I believe this will change come 3 o’clock and their record against Blackburn is encouraging. They have won both meetings last year and have lost just two of their last 13 matches against Blackburn Rovers. The bet also seems encouraging in light of the form of Rafael van der Vaart who has scored in every one of Spurs’ home games this season and doesn’t look a bad bet @2.37.

Spurs to win @1.66

Elsewhere Ian Holloway takes his Blackpool outfit to Upton Park in a game he has seemingly identified as a 6 pointer. After making 10 changes and putting in a spirited performance against Aston Villa and almost pinching a deserved point, you can expect Holloway to make wholesale changes and give it a real go against a West Ham team are right up against it. Although West Ham have only scored 5 goals from open play, they will surely look to take this game and have the fire power to get on the score sheet this afternoon. Like Blackpool both teams scored twice last time out and a draw on both teams to score looks a solid choice in what looks to be an exciting game.

Both teams to score (West Ham v Blackpool) @1.57

On Sunday Sunderland travel to Stamford Bridge to take on Premier League leaders Chelsea. Sunderland will again be without the services of Darren Bent and although record signing Asamoah Gyan has been firing in a few lately, scoring against Chelsea at home is altogether a different proposition. On Wednesday Chelsea equalled an 83 year old record of 9 successive clean sheets at home and will surely have this in mind to break the record and beat a Sunderland side who were also humiliated by a 7-2 scoreline last year.

Chelsea to win to nil @1.83

An interesting stat in the match at Eastlands is that there has been 6 penalties in the last 7 meetings between these two sides, of which there has been 4 in the last 3 games. The inclusion of tricky winger Adam Johnson is widely reported and with both the Spanish wizard David Silva in the side and the Argentine Carlos Tevez the penalty market looks attractive. The best of the penalty market seems to be Man City to score.

Man City to score a penalty @5.5
