Premiership Betting Tips 24th & 25th September

Manchester City have virtually a fully fit squad to choose from with only Nigel De Jong currently nursing an injury, which gives Roberto Mancini an embarrassment of wealth to choose from. Opponents Everton on the other hand have one of the thinnest squads in the Premier League and could only secure the loan signings of Royston Drenthe and Denis Stracqualursi over the summer.

Everton are notoriously slow starters in the Premiership but have only lost once so far this season, although the trip to Eastlands is the first real test for David Moyes’ side. Everton can take heart from a fine recent record over Manchester City winning 7 of their last 8 meetings, but Manchester City will be desperate to bounce back after dropped points against Fulham at Craven Cottage last weekend and have scored at least 2 goals in every single Premier League match to date.

Manchester City -1 Asian Handicap @1.725

Back to back defeats to Tottenham and Stoke have dented the early optimism that surrounded Liverpool, but Kenny Dalglish’s Reds will be looking to put that right against Wolves on Saturday.

Liverpool picked up a good win midweek against a highly ambitious Brighton side in the League Cup and could welcome back captain Steven Gerrard, but defenders Agger and Glen Johnson still look likely of missing out.

Opponents Wolves had not won at Anfield for more than 27 years until a Stephen Ward strike secured a 1-0 victory in the same fixture last season. Wolves have an identical record with Liverpool so far, but worryingly Mick McCarthy’s side have failed to find the back of the net in their last three encounters and a repeat of last seasons victory looks unlikely this time around.

Liverpool -1 Asian Handicap @1.55
