Premiership Betting Tips – 23-25 November

Southampton’s comprehensive victory over Hull saw us make a good return from our Premiership Predictions two weeks ago, whilst Samuel Eto’o’s early goal at Stamford Bridge will have given you plenty of opportunity to cash out on our selection.

Sportingly Better picks out the best value Premiership betting tips this weekend, as Arsenal host Southampton.

Premiership Betting Tips

Arsenal (1.66) v Southampton (5.75); Draw (4.00)

Arsenal slipped to their first defeat since the opening day of the season last time out, as Robin Van Persie scored against his former club.

The Gunners have won each of their last four games at home in the league, with victories over Tottenham and Liverpool highlighting the growing confidence in Arsene Wenger’s side early on this season.

Arsenal attacker Theo Walcott could be in-line to face his former club after returning from injury, but French midfielder Mathieu Flamini will miss out through suspension.

Arsenal were 6-1 victors at the Emirates Stadium a little over 12 months ago and an unbeaten run of eight games without defeat against Southampton at home will be tough to break for the Premier League’s surprise package.

Opponents Southampton climbed up to third in the league last time out, following a 4-1 win against Hull.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side have now gone eight games unbeaten in the league and the football betting odds of 2.20 on the Saints to avoid defeat at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday will hold some appeal to layers in the market.

Attacking players Gaston Ramirez and Dani Osvaldo will both have to be assessed on their return from international duty, but the Saints have scored in each of their last seven games in the Premier League and could find the net again this weekend.

Southampton could go top of the league with a win on Saturday, but Arsenal’s impressive form at home should see the Gunners bounce back from their league defeat against Manchester United with victory on Saturday.

Arsenal -1 Asian Handicap @2.20

Newcastle (1.75) v Norwich (5.00); Draw (3.90)

In-form striker Loic Remy scored his seventh goal in seven games, as Newcastle came away with a 1-0 win at White Hart Lane.

Successive victories over Chelsea and Tottenham have pushed Alan Pardew’s side into the top half of the table and another win on Saturday could leave the Magpies flying as high as fifth in the league.

Newcastle have won three of their last five matches in the Premier League and October’s derby defeat to Sunderland will be quickly forgotten if the club can make it three wins on the bounce.

Alan Pardew may be tempted to rotate his side after the international break, especially given the return from injury of defenders Fabricio Coloccini and Steven Taylor, with Newcastle having kept a clean sheet in three of their five games at St James Park this season.

Opponents Norwich picked up a vital victory against West Ham last time out, as goals from Gary Hooper, Robert Snodgrass and Leroy Fer secured the Canaries their third win of the season.

Record signing Ricky van Wolfswinkel will again be missing, with Norwich having scored just two goals away from home all season.

Norwich have lost four of their five games away from home, but alarmingly Chris Hughton’s away record in the Premier League reads at just three wins from 24 matches since the former Birmingham manager took over.

Newcastle’s surprise defeat to Hull in September has been the Magpies only loss at home in the league this campaign and with victories over Chelsea and Tottenham in their last two games, Newcastle should secure another win against their poor travelling opponents this weekend.
