Premiership Betting Tips 19th-21st November

Last week’s notable 3-1 win at Craven Cottage made it 7 wins out of 8 games for Tottenham, since Man City steamrollered through Harry’s charges back in late August.

The form of Rafael Van der Vaart has played a significant role in that run and the Dutch midfielder was the difference in this fixture last season after his brace secured a 2-1 win for Spurs. Van der Vaart however, is a doubt for the game after limping off during the internationals, but Gareth Bale is in good form and could cause problems for former Spurs right back Alan Hutton down the Villa right flank. The international break has also given Tottenham’s back line chance to return from injury and more importantly Ledley King a rest.

Aston Villa picked up a vital win last time out against Norwich, but arguably Villa’s best two performers this season Gabriel Agbonlahor and Stilian Petrov carry knocks going into the match. Darren Bent is back amongst the goals, but Alex McLeish’s side have conceded 2 or more goals in each of their last 4 games and Tottenham should be too strong for the Villains on Monday night.

Arsenal are in good form having won 4 on the bounce; scoring at least 2 goals in each game in that run. On the road this season, the Gunners have scored in all bar the opening day 0-0 draw with Newcastle and with Van Persie smartly rested from Holland’s last international game against Germany, Arsene Wenger will have his leading star suitably charged for Saturday’s early kick-off.

Only Manchester City have scored more goals away from home than Arsenal this season and with Gervinho and Walcott ably supporting Van Persie in attack, Arsenal will be confident of breaching the Norwich City back-line, which has conceded 5 goals in it’s last 2 games.
