Premiership Betting Tips 14th & 15th May

Despite almost certainly being out of the Premiership title race Chelsea are expected to steamroll past Newcastle United. Chelsea have won 14 of 18 games at Stamford Bridge with half of these victories by 2 goals or more and Carlo Ancelotti’s side are well set up to win by a similar amount on Sunday.

Florent Malouda is Chelsea’s leading goalscorer this season and the French midfielder has scored 11 of his 13 goals at Stamford Bridge. With Chelsea 1.22 to beat Newcastle the 2.37 offered on Malouda to score anytime has distinct value. But the man in form and the man that Chelsea have sorely missed over the course of the season is Frank Lampard. The English midfielder finds himself in some decent form and has scored 5 goals in his last 5 games and with Lampard also Chelsea’s penalty taker the anytime odds look appealing.

After an exciting start to the season Ian Holloway’s Tangerines find themselves in the drop zone at the business end of the season, with only two games to play. Blackpool have played some glorious football but now find themselves without a win in 9 Premier League matches. The Tangerines have definitely had to swallow some of that freedom and attacking mentality in recent weeks, but Blackpool have battled to earn 3 consecutive draws in their last 3 outings as they fight to stay in England’s top flight.

Bolton have a feel of a side who are just playing out the rest of the season. Owen Coyle’s side have lost their last 3 games and Bolton have truly dreadful away form. The Trotters have lost 10 out of their last 11 games on the road and only scored 4 goals in that sequence. The two sides played out a 2-2 draw earlier in the season, but this reverse means far more to Blackpool than it does for Bolton.
