Premier League Tips – 5-6 March

This week our Premier League tips come from the North London derby as Tottenham host rivals Arsenal and Stamford Bridge, as a resurgent Chelsea side face Stoke.

Premier League Betting Tips

Tottenham (2.63) v Arsenal (3.00); Draw (3.30)

Both of these sides lost midweek which has given Leicester a further advantage at the top of the Premier League despite drawing with West Brom themselves on Tuesday night.

Hosts Tottenham made the short trip to West Ham and lost 1-0,  whilst Arsenal hosted relegation threatened Swansea City and surprisingly lost 2-1.

Gunners manager Arsene Wenger has now seen his side win just four games in the last 11 games in all competitions and after being in a strong position in the FA Cup, Champions League and Premier League, they have now seen their chances of silverware hampered in all three. The defeat to Swansea was a frustrating one for the fans considering Leicester, Tottenham and Manchester City all dropped points midweek.

Hosts Spurs suffered their first away defeat since the opening day of the season, with defeat at Upton Park. Mauricio Pochettino continued to rotate the side with Ben Davies and Kieran Trippier brought in as full backs, but a lack of attacking intent is comparable against first team wing backs Kyle Walker and Danny Rose do.

Visitors Arsenal will crucially be missing Petr Cech and Laurent Koscielny for the North London derby and it isn’t exactly ideal for Wenger after three defeats in a row.

Arsenal are three points behind their neighbours and defeat here could well leave their title aspirations in tatters, despite an open Premier League title race this year.

Chelsea (1.50) v Stoke (7.00); Draw (4.00)

Chelsea are unbeaten in the Premier League since Guus Hiddink took over in December and have now won three Premier League games on the bounce.

The Blues have conceded one goal in each of the last six matches, but in front of goal they’re looking prolific with Diego Costa rediscovering the form that made him a hit with the Stamford Bridge fans in his debut season.

Visitors Stoke currently sit in 7th place and the Potters have showed tremendous character to come back from four straight defeats in the league by winning the next three against Bournemouth, Aston Villa and Newcastle.

Hosts Chelsea are clear favourites with the bookies to win the match, but the resurgence from Stoke’s forward play suggests value in the overs market this weekend.
