Premier League Tips – 5-6 December
A two point profit from two Premier League bets last weekend saw our football tips produce considerable returns as a win for Manchester City and a draw at White Hart Lane secured the match result bets.
This week our Premier League tips come from the Etihad Stadium as Manchester City host Southampton and White Hart Lane, as Chelsea take on Tottenham.
Premier League Betting Tips
West Brom (4.50) v Tottenham (1.80); Draw (3.50)
West Brom welcome another North London side to the Hawthorns this weekend, after a spirited performance against Arsenal in their last home match. Tony Pulis’s side came from a goal down to win 2-1, to end a run of two consecutive defeats and the Baggies will be looking to spring another surprise again.
Opponents Tottenham continued their very impressive run with a goalless draw against Chelsea; an unbeaten run that now dates back to the opening day of the season.
Dele Alli returns from suspension for Tottenham after serving his one match ban against Chelsea but his replacement Ryan Mason had a very effective game in midfield alongside Eric Dier. However, it is likely Pochettino will call upon his young prodigy as the newly crowned England international provides energy and tenacity alongside the more conservative Dier.
Last weekend’s showing against Chelsea arguably saw Mauricio Pochettino’s side shade the encounter in terms of possession and attempts at goal, but it was the seventh draw of the season for Spurs so far.
Hosts West Brom haven’t beaten Tottenham in any of the past five meetings at the Hawthorns and have also conceded three goals on three of the past four occasions. Striker Harry Kane scored a brace back in January this year against West Brom and is in a confident run of form and Tottenham should pull off the victory on Saturday.

Newcastle (5.50) v Liverpool (1.57); Draw (4.00)
In-form Liverpool have been sensational on the road since Jurgen Klopp took over the reins and they backed up victories in the Premier League over Chelsea and Manchester City with a sensational performance midweek in the quarter-finals of the Capital One Cup.
The Reds hit Southampton for six despite going behind after 41 seconds. Daniel Sturridge’s return to the first team fold earned him two very well taken goals and there was also a hat-trick for Divock Origi in what was arguably his best performance in a Liverpool shirt. The way Liverpool are performing under Klopp suggests a top four place is well within their grasp, as they currently sit just four points behind 4th placed Arsenal.
Hosts Newcastle meanwhile find themselves in increasing disarray. Steve McLaren’s side have just come off the back of a 5-1 defeat to Crystal Palace; a heavy loss which was masterminded by their former manager Alan Pardew.
The Magpies have lost their last two games on the spin and given Liverpool’s current form and the rate that Newcastle are conceding goals, it is hard to look past an away win.
