Premier League Betting Tips – 31 Oct – 1 Nov

A comprehensive win for Tottenham away at Bournemouth last weekend saw our Premier League tips return a healthy profit for the second week in succession.

This week our Premier League tips come from Southampton as the Saints face Bournemouth and from the Etihad Stadium as Manchester City host Norwich.

Premier League Betting Tips

Manchester City (1.28) v Norwich (12.00); Draw (6.00)

Manchester City have been in imperious form at home, scoring 16 goals in their last three games in all competitions.

Norwich City meanwhile conceded six goals in their last away game in the Premier League and could well be in for another hiding at the Etihad Stadium this weekend. The Canaries last visit to the blue half of Manchester didn’t go particularly well as they were hammered 7-0 in an embarrassing display defensively.

Manchester City coach Manuel Pellegrini was delighted with how his side defended in the Manchester derby last time out and admitted they can’t go hell for leather in every game and sensibly made their defensive side the priority.

The hosts will still be without Sergio Aguero and David Silva, but Silva is expected to be fit enough for a place amongst the substitutes against Norwich.

After a bright start on their return to the Premier League, Norwich will be slightly concerned with how their season is heading and another porous afternoon defensively does look likely.

Southampton (1.55) v Bournemouth (6.50); Draw (4.33)

The South-Coast derby has never been played in the Premier League, but Bournemouth’s rise to the top tier means they can now battle it out in the top-flight.

Life in the Premier League may be short lived for the visitors, who sit just one place above the relegation zone and have unfortunately been hit with a number of long term injuries to key players.

Given the lack of strength in depth at Bournemouth, Eddie Howe has his work cut out to try and reach the desired ’40 point’ mark which traditionally is the total needed to survive relegation.

The January transfer window could be a crucial month for the newly promoted side, who will need to add to their depleted ranks.

Hosts Southampton are beginning to pick up steam and progressed through to the quarter-finals of the Capital One Cup with a 2-1 victory over Aston Villa midweek.

Ronald Koeman’s side are unbeaten in five games in all competitions and face a Bournemouth side that are winless in five and a home win looks well priced this weekend.
