Premier League Tips – 25-26 April

Arsenal face Premier League leaders Chelsea in what is the biggest game of the weekend, whilst Swansea’s trip to Newcastle could see further misery for the home side.

Premier League Betting Tips

Newcastle United (2.37) v Swansea (3.10); Draw (3.25)

The troubles surrounding Newcastle United continue to worsen and it can only negatively affect the players mind set. John Carver’s side have lost their last 6 games on the bounce and scored just 2 goals in the process. Although Swansea lost disappointingly to Leicester last time out, they’ve beaten Newcastle in their last 4 meetings.

Cheick Tiote and Siem De Jong are long term absentees whilst Papiss Cisse is still serving a suspension for his spit at Jonny Evans. Moussa Sissoko is also ruled out through suspension after picking up his second red card of the season against Liverpool after collecting two yellow cards.

Bafetimbi Gomis is unlikely to return from a hamstring injury so Nelson Oliveira looks set to lead the line for the Welsh club with Wayne Routledge providing the support. Gylfi Sigurdsson and Jonjo Shelvey will be looking to pull the strings in the middle of the park. Jordi Amat will continue to deputise at left back for Neil Taylor who is suspended.

It is a long trip from Swansea to Newcastle but they’ve scored at least 2 goals past Newcastle in 4 of their last 5 encounters and are clearly a team they favour playing against.

Arsenal (2.37) v Chelsea (3.10); Draw (3.30)

Champions to be Chelsea make a short trip to North London to take on the Premier League form side with 2nd hosting 1st. Chelsea have won their last 5 successive away league matches whilst Arsenal have won their last 9 home league matches.

Per Mertesacker hobbled off in the FA Cup semi-final win over Reading so Gabriel Paulista will come in for the German. Olivier Giroud could also be preferred to Danny Welbeck upfront with Jack Wilshere content amongst the substitute’s bench.

Jose Mourinho will be sweating on the fitness of Didier Drogba, Loic Remy and Diego Costa who all have their respective injury doubts but Drogba is expected to shake off an ankle injury to lead the line.

Arsenal must win to maintain any ambition to challenge for the title but Mourinho could just settle for a draw to make them certain favourites to lift the trophy.
