Premier League Tips – 23-24 January

This week our Premier League tips come from Old Trafford as Manchester United take on Southampton and Selhust Park as Crystal Palace host Tottenham.

Premier League Betting Tips

Manchester United (1.90) v Southampton (4.75); Draw (3.50)

Manchester United gained a valuable 1-0 victory over arch rivals Liverpool on Sunday and that will be a result that Louis Van Gaal hopes spark some belief and confidence in the side.

The Red Devils have been knocked by Ashley Young’s recent injury, which could mean a start for rookie Cameron Borthwick-Jackson at left-back.

Visitors Southampton have been buoyed by the return of goalkeeper Fraser Forster who has now recorded back-to-back clean sheets for the Saints.

Manager Ronald Koeman will be hoping Graziano Pelle continues to improve on match fitness and sparks back into life, but the Italy international is finding it tough to reclaim his spot with Shane Long leading the line.

A win for Manchester United could take them above Tottenham should they lose to Crystal Palace and that should provide the hosts with enough impetus to claim victory.

Crystal Palace (3.60) v Tottenham (2.15); Draw (3.50)

Crystal Palace have not enjoyed a particularly good start to the year with three defeats from four games and the visit of Tottenham doesn’t make life much easier for Alan Pardew’s side.

The Eagles have failed to score in 452 minutes of football in the Premier League and Wayne Hennessy’s recent poor form provides further problems for the club.

Visitors Spurs bounced back from a disappointing home defeat to Leicester in the league with a convincing victory over Sunderland before exacting some revenge on Leicester in the FA Cup 3rd round replay.

Tottenham have won five of the last nine meetings against Crystal Palace in all competition and the slump by the hosts may well continue this weekend.
