Premier League Tips – 15-16 October

A hugely profitable return last time out, saw all three advised selections land on Sportingly Better.

The early kick-off on Saturday sees goals against defending champions Leicester at Chelsea look likely, whilst Bournemouth look competitively priced against Hull this weekend for our Premier League bets.

Football Betting Tips

Bournemouth (1.85) v Hull (5.00); Draw (3.50)

August’s Premier League Manager of the Month was finally confirmed as Hull’s new permanent boss at least until the end of the season, but since then the Tigers have picked up just one point from their last five games.

That run did however include a tough set of games that included fixtures against Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea, but Hull will be keen to get back to winning ways after falling down the Premier League table.

The Tigers will be without Dieumarci Mbokani after picking up an injury during the international break, so expect the visitors to continue to use set-pieces as their main outlet.

Hosts Bournemouth themselves have not come away unscathed after the international break, but Eddie Howe’s side are looking to protect a run of form that has seen just one loss in their last five games.

Loan signing Jack Wilshere is making a real impact in the middle of park, whilst striker Callum Wilson is beginning to creep in a goalscoring run that has seen two goals in his last four games.

Visitors Hull have failed to score a first half goal in their last six matches and the Cherries look good value to secure a win on the south coast this weekend.

Chelsea (1.57) v Leicester (6.00); Draw (4.50)

Chelsea will be looking to reignite their campaign after a stuttering start to the season.

Four consecutive victories propelled Antonio Conte to the higher echelons of the table, but defeats by Liverpool and a resounding defeat against Arsenal brought the Blues back to ground.

The west London club have employed a three-man defence against Hull last time out and the Blues could adopt the same tactic again for the visit of the champions this time around.

Opponents Leicester have lost each of their last three away games in the Premier League this season and Claudio Ranieri’s side will be concerned that they have the worst defensive record on the road this season with 10 goals conceded.

Much of that vulnerability has to do with the departure of N’Golo Kante, the holding midfielder who returns to face his former club this weekend.

Leicester’s defensive fragility appears to be the perfect betting angle in the early kick-off on Saturday and given that striker Diego Costa has scored nine goals in 11 games for club and country, expect the Spain international to feature amongst the goals again.
