Premier League Predictions – Match Day 18

Man Utd travel to London to take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in a top of the table clash and the first ever Premier League Black Country Derby between West Brom and Wolves dominates this weeks round of Premiership action.

Alan Pardew’s Newcastle take on Birmingham, where the last 5 meetings at St Andrews between the two sides have all ended in draws. Defensive team news and Newcastle welcome back both Collocini and Williamson, whilst Birmingham welcome back Liam Ridgwell and Jiranek in a game where a defensive focus and a lone target man should mirror each other.  Birmingham have drawn 9 times this season a feat that only Fulham can better and have twice failed to register a shot on target in 90 minutes this season with the latest being the rival defeat by Wolves last time out. Newcastle have never scored more than once in their last 14 away league matches. Neither side really want to lose this one so a low scoring draw looks on the cards. The draw is currently @3.25.

Under 2.5 goals (Birmingham v Newcastle) @1.7

At Anfield Roy Hodgson faces his old side Fulham, with both sides looking to try and get going some kind of run. Fulham have a woeful record away from home and have not won in 26 away games. Indeed Fulham have never won at Anfield or in Merseyside for that matter against Everton too. Mark Hughes has won only 1 of 11 league games against Liverpool and has key forwards Zamora and now Dembele injured. Liverpool have kept clean sheets in the last 4 games and welcome back star duo Torres and Gerrard. The odds currently trading are ridiculous in my opinion and I would urge people to lump on or include this in a football accumulator. Liverpool to win to nil also looks inviting @2.2.

Liverpool to win @1.53
