Premier League Predictions – 29th & 30th October

There are few markets that provide value in Manchester City games at present, with Roberto Mancini’s side topping the Premier League table and seemingly imperious following the 6-1 victory over rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Next up at the Etihad Stadium are Wolves, who Manchester City thumped 5-2 in the League Cup in midweek and the Citizens are in an envious free scoring run of form with 21 goals scored in their last 5 games in all competitions. Whether it’s Balotelli and Aguero or Dzeko and Tevez goals are again likely.

Three quarters of the goals scored by Manchester City in the Premier League have come in the second half and 85% of the goals conceded have also fallen after the break, so going overs in the second half looks like the value option in what should be a largely one sided affair.

Over 1.5 Second Half Goals (Manchester City v Wolves) @1.57

Chelsea will be desperate to bounce back after a 1-0 defeat at Loftus Road last time out. Chelsea played with 9 men for a large portion of that match and will have to do without the services of Bosingwa and Drogba on Saturday.

Fernando Torres returns from suspension and the Spanish striker will be looking to outshine Arsenal’s Dutch forward, Robin Van Persie who has now scored 6 goals in the Gunners last 4 games.

Andre Villas-Boas favours the attack and last weekend’s 1-0 defeat at QPR was the first time in 8 games that the over 2.5 goals mark was not breached by Chelsea. With Arsenal’s last 5 games finishing with at least 3 goals, expect more goals to flow in Saturday’s early kick off at Stamford Bridge.

Over 2.5 goals (Chelsea v Arsenal) @1.72
