Premier League Football Tips – 2-4 May

It was two winning football tips from two last weekend, as a win for Swansea and a draw between league leaders Chelsea and Arsenal delivered a 2.9pts proft.

Leicester’s home match against Newcastle and Chelsea’s game against Crystal Palace provide the Premier League betting tips this weekend.

Premier League Football Tips

Leicester City (1.95) v Newcastle (4.00); Draw (3.50)

Leicester City have secured recent wins against West Ham, West Brom, Swansea and Burnley and will be confident of pouring more misery on John Carver’s Newcastle despite their midweek loss to Chelsea.

Jamie Vardy scored the winning goal against Burnley but an ankle injury wasn’t as bad as initially feared and was fit enough to start against Chelsea and is likely to keep his place as David Nugent will face a late fitness test ahead of the visit from Newcastle.

Newcastle’s slump now sees them just 5 points above the relegation zone with 4 games to play making it a very nervous encounter for the Geordie supporters. One table they do top is the injury table with 8 players out. Daryl Jaanmat, Cheick Tiote and Steven Taylor are notable absentees but Siem de Jong is back and scored upon his return and could start against Leicester.

Newcastle have lost 7 in a row and it doesn’t look like they’re going to be able to prevent an 8th against in form Leicester.

Chelsea (1.33) v Crystal Palace (10.00); Draw (5.00)

Jose Mourinho has the chance to guide his side towards their first Premier League title since his comeback at Stamford Bridge. A win will seal the crown before Manchester City and Arsenal have even kicked a ball.

Chelsea have been grinding the points out of late and have significant troubles upfront with Loic Remy and Diego Costa still carrying injuries whilst Didier Drogba made his return against Arsenal much earlier than anticipated but the injury to Oscar against Arsenal forced the change.

The Brazilian was involved in a heavy challenge with David Ospina and is expected to be fit for Palace despite only making the substitutes bench in their 3-1 win at Leicester midweek.

Palace have lost on both occasions at Stamford Bridge but have won 4 out of their last 5 away fixtures. Fraizer Campbell and Marouane Chamakh will still be missing through hamstring injuries whilst Joel Ward is also doubtful with a leg injury.

The home side won’t need any more motivation than to win the game to clinch the title in front of their own spectators and have kept 10 clean sheets in 16 home league matches.
