Premier League Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 26

Captain Choices

Carlos Tevez
The Argentine striker showed he is still the main man at Eastlands with a goal against Birmingham midweek which now makes it 3 goals in 3 Premier League games. Tevez and Manchester City have a favourable home tie against relegation threatened West Brom.

Edin Dzeko has yet to come alight in the Premier League since his £27million move from Wolfsburg, but was encouraging on his home debut with an assist. Dzeko might find the home crowd more comforting and grab his first goal for Manchester City.

Robin Van Persie
Arsenal’s flying Dutchman is the most form player in the Premier League currently with 5 goals, 2 assists and 9 bonus points in his last 3 Premiership games. Arsenal are stepping into top gear and travel to St James Park to face Alan Pardew’s Newcastle.

Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas has notched an assist in each of the last 2 Premier League games and with Nasri injured, Fabregas will once again be the focal point in the Arsenal side and pull the strings from midfield.

Wayne Rooney
England striker Wayne Rooney will have taken great encouragement and belief from his 2 goals and 1 assist against Aston Villa at Old Trafford in midweek. Manchester United have an away trip to Molineux to look forward to this gameweek and will fancy their chances of scoring against Wolves’ backline.

Portugese winger Nani is back from his spell on the sidelines and is beginning to find his touch, fitness and form with 1 goal and 1 assist in his last 3 games.

Transfer Options

Johan Djorou – 4.3m
Arsenal seem to have a more settled backline now in defence and Djorou has been central to that in recent weeks playing the full 90 minutes in the last 5 games, helping the Gunners to 4 clean sheets in their last 5 Premier League games. Djorou has been playing well and is beginning to develop a good understanding with Koscielny at centre half. Arsenal also have some more favourable fixtures coming up in the league.

Darren Bent – 8.8m
Aston Villa’s £18 million striker has already showed his pedigree in the Premier League with 2 goals in 3 games and both coming against the Manchester clubs. Aston Villa’s fixtures are somewhat more straight forward for the next few gameweeks and Bent will be firing on all cylinders for the Villain’s in the coming weeks.
