Bolton play twice during Gameweek 35.
Captain Choices
Sergio Aguero (MCI)
Sergio Aguero’s brace against Norwich in Gameweek 34 highlighted why the Argentine forward has been nominated for both the PFA Player of the Year and the PFA Young Player of the Year prizes. The Manchester City forward has now scored consecutive braces taking his goal tally in the Premier League up to 21 goals and the return of Carlos Tevez will likely see the Argentine duo paired for the remainder of the season. Manchester City face Wolves at Molineux who have lost their last eight games at home, conceding 26 goals. Aguero also picked up an assist in the reverse fixture during Gameweek 10.
Wayne Rooney (MUN)
Wayne Rooney’s brace against Aston Villa on Sunday meant the England striker has now scored eight goals in his last five appearances at Old Trafford. Rooney comes up against former club Everton this weekend, as Manchester United look to maintain their lead at the top of the table. Rooney took his tally to 24 goals for the season, scoring 11 goals in 11 games and the motivation will clearly be with Rooney as Manchester United chase a record 20th Premier League title.
Papiss Cisse (NEW)
Cisse’s goal against Bolton Wanderers last time out extended the Senegalese striker’s recent run with Newcastle’s number 9 scoring eight goals in five appearances. Cisse has picked up the maximum three bonus points for each of the last five gameweeks and the visit of Stoke who have not won away from home in seven games could provide further opportunity. Cisse has been a revelation in the Premier League since his arrival in January from SC Freiburg, scoring ten goals.
Fantasy Football Transfers
Carlos Tevez (MCI) – £11.8m
Selected by just 1.4% of all fantasy managers, Manchester City’s Carlos Tevez could prove to be a crucial differential. The Argentine forward has returned to the Citizens front line picking up four goals and four bonus points in the last two gameweeks. With Dzeko out of form and Balotelli out of favour the presence of Carlos Tevez in Roberto Mancini’s line up looks likely for the rest of the season.
Hatem Ben Arfa (NEW) – £5.9m
Newcastle’s French midfielder has helped put the Magpies in contention for a Champions League place and Ben Arfa picked up his fifth goal of the season against Bolton last time out. Ben Arfa has now amassed two goals, four assists and five bonus points in his last five appearances and should feature again against Stoke at the Sports Direct Arena on Saturday.
