Gameweek 32 Fantasy Football Tips

GW32 (from): de Gea, Cech, Caulker, Wheater, Evans, Cahill, Baines, Young, Sigurdsson, Ben Arfa, Gerrard, Petrov, Rooney, Suarez, Torres

Captain Choices

Wayne Rooney (MUN)

Rooney has scored eight goals in eight games for the Red Devils and twelve of Rooney’s 21 goals this term have come at Old Trafford. Opponents QPR have not kept a clean sheet for 22 games in the league now and Queens Park Rangers may struggle with the pace and purpose of Rooney, Valencia and Young going forward.  Rooney picked up a goal in the reverse fixture in Gameweek 16, along with a bonus point and the England striker should yet again deliver at Old Trafford this weekend.

Fernando Torres (CHE)

The signs are that Fernando Torres could be returning to form. The former Liverpool striker demonstrated his ability in Gameweek 31 with a 13 point haul against Aston Villa including a well taken goal, his first in the league since scoring against Swansea in Gameweek 6. Chelsea’s Spanish striker scored a brace against Leicester in the FA Cup last month and the visit of Wigan to Stamford Bridge looks ideal for Torres to build on his recent form.

Fantasy Football Transfers

Gylfi Sigurdsson (SWA) – £5.4m

Since arriving in January, Sigurdsson has been a revelation and his 25 yard strike against Spurs in Gameweek 31 took the Icelandic midfielder’s goal tally to six. Swansea have a good run of fixtures until the end of the month with Newcastle, QPR, Blackburn, Bolton and Wolves the next five opponents for the Swans and Sigurdsson provides a good alternative to Scott Sinclair who is priced £1.3m higher than the Iceland international.

Papiss Cisse (NEW) – £6.8m

Highlighted in last week’s fantasy transfer choices, Papiss Cisse scored a match winning brace against Liverpool on Sunday in a 2-0 victory. The Senegalese striker has now scored five goals in just three games and along with an assist and nine bonus points, the former Freiburg striker has picked up 37 points in the last three gameweeks. Newcastle also boast favourable fixtures up until Gameweek 36, which features a double Gameweek for the Magpies.

Hatem Ben Arfa (NEW) – £5.8m

Manager Alan Pardew likened Ben Arfa to Lionel Messi when the Frenchman has the ball at his feet and the in-form midfielder has certainly demonstrated his talents recently. In the last two gameweeks Ben Arfa has contributed with four assists, one goal and four bonus points. Selected by just 3.7% of managers, Ben Arfa has been playing himself into increased game time recently and should be a presence for the Magpies until the end of the season.
