Premier League Fantasy Football Tips – Gameweek 10
Gameweek 10 Fantasy Player Picks
GW10 (from): Hart, Al-Habsi, Kompany, Walker, Shawcross, Williams, Jose Enrique, Sinclair, Sessegnon, Walters, Van der Vaart, Silva, Graham, Balotelli, Adebayor
Captain Choices
Van der Vaart (TOT)
By quite a distance Rafael Van der Vaart is the most in-form player in the Premier League. The Dutchman’s decisive brace against Blackburn made it 5 goals in 4 games and coupled with 11 bonus points, Van der Vaart has picked up an incredible 43 points in just 4 games. QPR have conceded 8 goals away from home so far in the Premier League and the newly promoted side will have to be on their guard to stop the impressive Dutch midfielder at present.
Other Contenders: Emmanuel Adebayor
Mario Balotelli (MCI)
Although his antics and temperament may come into question, there are few who doubt the Italian’s talent and after last weekend’s brace at Old Trafford, Balotelli has now scored 5 goals in 4 games. Just 4 bonus points have been picked up in that run and Balotelli has yet to lay on a goal for his teammates. But Balotelli has showed that he does not need to play the full 90 minutes to get on the scoresheet and rotation concerns may not be too detrimental, especially with Wolves the visitors this weekend.
Other Contenders: David Silva, Edin Dzeko, Vincent Kompany
Wayne Rooney (MUN)
Manchester United will be desperate to bounce back after their defeat to rivals Manchester City and Rooney will be one player the manager looks to for an improved performance. The England striker has not scored since gameweek 5, but the game at Goodison Park may provide some much needed spice and impetus for United’s number 10.
Other Contenders: Ashley Young, Javier Hernandez, Nani
Transfer Picks
Kyle Walker (TOT) – 5.4m
Tottenham may have not kept a clean sheet since gameweek 5, but right back Kyle Walker is the most in-form defender in the Premier League. A goal in gameweek 7 and an assist last time out against Blackburn has propelled the promising defender to the attention of fantasy managers. Tottenham may fancy their chances of a rare clean sheet with QPR the visitors to White Hart Lane.
Danny Graham (SWA) – 4.8m
Swansea’s record signing has scored in each of his last 3 games, and with an assist and 5 bonus points, Graham has now picked up 26 points in the last 3 gameweeks. Swansea seem a more capable outfit at the Liberty Stadium and the visit of Bolton Wanderers may help Graham extend his recent goalscoring run.
Jonathan Walters (STO) – 6.1m
Walters has yet to miss a minute of football for Stoke City and an assist against Arsenal last time out and a goal against Fulham in gameweek 8 has left Walters with 16 points in his last two games. Last season Stoke won 4-0 against Newcastle and Walters bagged the opener at the Britannia Stadium.
