Premier League Betting Tips – 8 March

Three goals in the Southampton v Liverpool match and backing West Ham on the Asian handicap saw us return a good overall profit from our Premiership betting tips last weekend, as our free football tips continued to deliver returns.

Sportingly Better picks out the best Premiership predictions this week, as Chelsea host Tottenham.

Premier League Betting Tips

Chelsea (1.57) v Tottenham (7.00); Draw (4.00)

Chelsea will be looking to extend their lead at the top of the table to seven points, with Tottenham the visitors to Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

The Blues have no injury concerns ahead of the match, although in-form midfielder Eden Hazard did pick up an ankle knock for Belgium on international duty.

Germany international Andre Schurrle is pushing for a start after firing a hat trick against Fulham last time out, but Willian may just get the nod against Spurs this weekend.

Chelsea are undefeated in 23 matches against Tottenham at Stamford Bridge and the Blues current form of 10 wins from 13 Premier League matches leaves little chance of an away victory this weekend.

Opponents Tottenham secured a narrow 1-0 victory against free-falling Cardiff City last time out, as Tim Sherwood’s side closed the gap on fourth-place Manchester City.

Roberto Soldado scored for the first time in nine games by sweeping in a swift counter-attacking goal and Tottenham’s best chance of getting something out of the game on Saturday may again be to make the most out of their attacking plays on the break.

Tottenham have the best away record in the division with nine wins from 14 games, but injuries to Vlad Chirches, Younes Kaboul and Danny Rose have left the Lilywhites as long as 7.00 on the football betting markets.

Tottenham have not won at Chelsea in over 24 years and the hosts dominance at Stamford Bridge should see another three points for the Blues as they chase down the Premier League title.

West Brom (5.00) v Manchester United (1.83); Draw (3.60)

Goals from Robin Van Persie and Wayne Rooney ended Manchester United’s three-match winless run in the Premier League, as the Red Devils beat Crystal Palace.

David Moyes’ side did not play last weekend, but record signing Juan Mata will be well rested after missing out for Spain midweek and being ineligible to face Olympiakos in the Champions League last Wednesday.

Saturday’s match at the Hawthorns will be the third away match in a row that Manchester United have faced in the Premier League and it is not often that you can say that the Red Devils have picked up more points away from Old Trafford at this stage of the season.

Opponents West Brom were rescued by a late Matej Vydra strike last time out, as the Baggies claimed a point against Fulham.

Pepe Mel’s side have not won any of their last seven games in the Premier League, but draws against Everton, Liverpool and Chelsea at home point to at least some optimism that the Baggies can take points off Manchester United this weekend.

West Brom beat Manchester United in the reverse fixture earlier in the season, but the form of Robin Van Persie coupled with the Baggies lack of clean sheets should see David Moyes’ side pick up the win this time around.
