Premier League Betting Tips – 7-8 April

Wolves have been cut adrift at the bottom of the Premier League table and are odds-on to be playing Championship football next season.

Under Terry Connor, Wolves have conceded 19 goals in just six games and have picked up a solitary point under the stewardship of the former assistant. The 3-2 defeat by relegation rivals Bolton Wanderers last weekend further compounded the Black Country side to relegation. Midfielders Jamie O’Hara, Emmanuel Frimpong and Stephen Hunt remain sidelined but young midfielder David Davis has been promising in the centre of midfield.

Stoke sit in 14th position in the Premier League table and Tony Pulis’ side are winless in four games. The Potters have however picked up credible points against both Manchester City and Tottenham. England striker Peter Crouch will be keen to add to his goal tally after his wonder strike last time out at the Britannia Stadium.

With Wolves in free-fall, Stoke will look to reassert their dominance at the Britannia Stadium and get back to winning ways on Saturday.

Manchester United left it late on Monday night with two late goals from Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young securing all three points at Ewood Park.

That victory increased Manchester United’s lead to five points and the Red Devils can go eight points clear at the top of the Premier League table with rivals Manchester City facing Arsenal later on Sunday.

Manchester United have won their last seven games on the bounce with the last four victories coming with clean sheets and Manchester United to win to nil is priced at 1.83. Antonio Valencia has returned to the fold in devastating form and omitting the long term absentees of Vidic and Fletcher, Sir Alex Ferguson has the vast majority of his squad available to him coming into the business end of the season.

Visitors to Old Trafford are Queens Park Rangers and Mark Hughes will again have to do without the suspended Djibril Cissé up front, which is a positive in the Manchester United clean sheet market. QPR have not won away from Loftus Road in nine games and have failed to keep a clean sheet in the league for 22 games.

With Manchester United’s increased solidity at the back and the likes of Javier Hernandez, Valencia, Ashley Young, Rooney and Danny Welbeck going forward, Manchester United could well win by two or more goal this weekend.
