Premier League Betting Tips – 5 October

A point for Swansea at the Stadium of Light maintained the Alien EPL Analyst’s profitability this season, as Garry Monk’s side came away with a point.

Selections from Old Trafford, Upton Park and White Hart Lane make up the best tips on the Premier League on Sunday.

Premier League Betting Tips

Manchester United (1.65) v Everton (5.50); Draw (4.20)

Manchester United will be looking to pick up their third successive win in the Premier League, after picking up back-to-back league wins for the first time under Louis van Gaal.

Captain Wayne Rooney begins his three-match ban, with Juan Mata likely to deputise, but the blow of losing Ander Herrera could see a rare start for Darren Fletcher in midfield.

Nine of Manchester United’s last 10 matches at home have seen three or more goals, so another entertaining clash looks likely from Louis van Gaal’s side in the noon kick-off today.

Opponents Everton have made their worst start to the season in four years and the lack of consistency at the back is likely to see Roberto Martinez’s side concede again.

A long trip to Russia in the Europa League may see Everton’s energy levels suffer, with Seamus Coleman and James McCarthy both doubtful for the clash this weekend.

Manchester United have lost three of their last four matches against Everton in the Premier League, but the hosts superior attack should come out on top at Old Trafford today.

West Ham (1.90) v QPR (4.50); Draw (3.60)

QPR will be looking to ressurect their poor form on their road after a 2-1 defeat at Southampton.

The west London side have now lost seven of their last eight games on the road in the Premier League and are the only side in the division yet to pick up a single point away from home.

A total of one goal away from Loftus Road is also concerning, but Joey Barton and Jordon Mutch could feature despite hamstring problems.

Hosts West Ham will be targeting all three points on Sunday, after narrowly losing to Manchester United last time out.

A 3-1 victory over Liverpool two weeks ago highlighted the Hammers greater balance this season, with summer signings Aaron Cresswell, Alex Song, Diafra Sakho and Enner Valencia all settling in well.

Sam Allardyce’s side have yet to keep a clean sheet in the Premier League, but today’s game against QPR could see that record falling.

West ham have not lost in any of their last four meeting against QPR and the hosts look well placed to pick up all three points today.

Tottenham (2.15) v Southampton (3.60); Draw (3.50)

Mauricio Pochettino will come up against his former employers Southampton for the first time, as Tottenham welcome the Saints to White Hart Lane.

Tottenham will restore a virtually different playing squad, after a disappointing 1-1 draw with Besiktas in the Europa League on Thursday, but another “European hangover” could come around with Spurs having failed to win any of their last four matches in the Premier League.

Visitors Southampton continue to defy the ante-post football predictions, with Ronald Koeman’s hugely impressive start as manager not going unnoticed.

The Saints have won each of their last four matches in the Premier League, with summer signings Dusan Tadic and Graziano Pelle in particular excelling on the south coast.

A clear goalscorer continues to haunt Spurs and another tired display after the Europa League could open the door for a result for high-flying Southampton.
