Premier League Betting Tips – 23-25 August

After backing Chelsea to win by two or more goals last time out, Premier League betting expert Shawn Retsam returns, with his latest set of betting tips in the Premiership.

Premiership Football Tips

Everton (2.70) v Arsenal (2.75); Draw (3.40)

Everton will be looking to pick up their first win of the season, with Arsenal the visitors to Goodison Park on Saturday.

The Toffees were pegged back twice against Leicester at the King Power Stadium, but any lead at home this weekend is likely to be more keenly protected.

Roberto Martinez will be without key midfielder Ross Barkley for some time, but Darron Gibson is nearing a return and could be available.

Everton won their last meeting against Arsenal back in April, but that was the Toffees only win in their last 15 meetings in all competitions.

Opponents Arsenal will be keen to improve from a disappointing showing in Turkey, with World Cup participants Per Mertesacker, Mesut Ozil and Lukas Podolski all set to return.

The Gunners have won six successive games in the league, but a 3-0 defeat at Everton in April will serve as a stark warning for Arsene Wenger’s side.

Arsenal’s record against the top sides away from home will have to improve if they are to be credible challengers for the title, but the return of the club’s German contingent should see the Gunners at least avoiding defeat on Saturday.

Arsenal 0,+0.5 Asian Handicap @1.70

Swansea (1.65) v Burnley (6.00); Draw (4.00)

Swansea will be looking to build on their shock win at Old Trafford, with Premier League newcomers Burnley the visitors to the Liberty Stadium this weekend.

New arrivals  Tom Carroll and Federico Fernandez could feature, but Leon Britton and Marvin Emnes are both out.

Ki Sung-yueng’s goal against Manchester United contained a longer build-up (29 passes) than any goal scored in last season’s Premier League, with the Swans tactically astute against Louis van Gaal’s side.

Gylfi Sigurdsson could again be Swansea’s main danger, but Wilfried Bony may fancy his chances of getting off the mark this weekend against Burnley.

The Clarets chances of keeping a clean sheet away from home seem unlikely and the Welsh club look well priced to make it two wins from two in the Premier League.
