Premier League Betting Tips – 22-23 February

Last weekend’s FA Cup betting tips saw us correctly predict under 2.5 goals at the Etihad Stadium, as Manchester City swept Chelsea aside, but this weekend we’re back in the Premier League delivering you yet more free football tips.

Sportingly Better picks out the best Premiership predictions this week, as Chelsea host Everton.

Premier League Betting Tips

Chelsea (1.57) v Everton (7.00); Draw (4.00)

Title challengers Chelsea will be looking to put their FA Cup defeat to Manchester City behind them, with Everton the visitors to Stamford Bridge in this weekend’s early fixture in the Premier League.

The Blues carry an undefeated record at home this season with 11 wins from 13 games but it’s the club’s goalscoring record at Stamford Bridge which has been impressive with the west London club scoring two or more goals in 16 of their last 18 matches at home in the Premier League.

Chelsea are undefeated in their last 11 matches in the Premier League, but much of the side’s recent success has come through Belgian midfielder Eden Hazard, who should again be joined by Oscar and Willian in Mourinho’s attacking trio.

Hazard goes into this weekend’s match as Chelsea’s top scorer and most prolific assistor and the odds of 2.75 on the Belgium international to score anytime on Saturday will be sure to entice.

Chelsea are in fact unbeaten in their last 18 matches against Everton at home in the Premier League, but it’s the return of John Terry that could be a timely boost for the Blues, with the former England captain tasked with combating the aerial threat posed by Lacina Traore.

Opponents Everton are winless in their last four matches away from home and the 1-0 defeat against Spurs at White Hart Lane last time out was the second away match in succession that the Toffees have failed to score.

The ineligibility of Romelu Lukaku will hamper Roberto Martinez’s team selection, but Traore’s goal within four minutes against Swansea in the FA Cup looks a good omen.

Everton’s record against the top seven clubs in the Premier League is concerning however, especially if the Toffees are going to break into the higher echelons of the league this season, but Roberto Martinez’s side did dominate for much of the game against Tottenham last time out.

Chelsea’s first defeat in the Premier League came in the reverse fixture back in September, but Everton’s recent lack of cutting edge could pave the way for the Blues to pick up a priceless victory on Saturday.
