Premier League Betting Tips – 19-21 April

A goal from Demba Ba saw us make a good return from our Premiership betting tips last weekend after Chelsea came away from the Liberty Stadium with a win, but a lack of goals on the south coast scuppered our other betting tip on the Premier League.

Sportingly Better picks out the best Premiership predictions this weekend as Liverpool travel to Norwich.

Premier League Betting Tips

Norwich (9.00) v Liverpool (1.36); Draw (5.50)

Liverpool will be looking to keep their place at the top of the Premier League table, with a trip to Carrow Road on Sunday.

The Reds are likely to be without Daniel Sturridge this weekend, but it’s Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez who has been Norwich’s tormenter with four goals in the reverse fixture and back-to-back hat-tricks in 2012.

Liverpool have won their last 10 matches in the Premier League, but any slip up at Norwich could severely dent the club’s title hopes.

Brendan Rodgers’ high-scorers have scored three or more goals in eight of their last 10 matches in the Premiership and a similar goal splurge may appeal at odds of 2.10.

Opponents Norwich could welcome back captain Sebastian Bassong, with caretaker manager Neil Adams again expected to ring the changes.

Norwich have lost their last three matches in the Premier League; failing to score in each game, but a win on Sunday; however unlikely that may sound, could take the Canaries five points clear of the relegation zone with three games to play.

Historically this fixture has been full of goals in recent meetings and with the visitors gunning for the title, expect Luis Suarez to inflict more pain on the Canaries this weekend.

West Ham (2.20) v Crystal Palace (3.60); Draw (3.40)

Crystal Palace will be looking to edge closer to a top-half finish in the Premier League this term, with a trip to Upton Park on Saturday.

Had it not been for Brendan Rodgers’ title charge with Liverpool, then Eagles boss Tony Pulis would have undoubtedly scooped the Manager of the Year award, having pulled the club from an almost unassailable position at the bottom of the table.

Crystal Palace have won each of their last four matches in the Premier League, but the midweek victory at Goodison Park did much to improve the London side’s standing in the English top flight.

A fifth victory this weekend would equal their top-flight record of five league wins in a row, set in December 1992, but West Ham have won three and drawn one of the last four league encounters at Upton Park.

Opponents West Ham have virtually assured their Premier League status on 37 points, but a run of five defeats in their last seven matches in the league has left a somewhat deflated mood around east London.

The Hammers have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their last eight games in the Premier League, but the return of defenders James Tomkins and Joey O’Brien will be a timely boost for Sam Allardyce’s side.

Crystal Palace picked up a 1-0 win over West Ham in the reverse fixture earlier in the season and the increasingly high-flying Eagles look well priced to continue their impressive form this weekend.
