Premier League Betting – 7-8 November

A comfortable win for Southampton at home to Bournemouth last weekend saw our Premier League tips produce return a healthy profit for the second week in succession.

This week our Premier League tips come from Old Trafford as Manchester United host West Brom and from Anfield as Liverpool aim to continue their resurgence under Jurgen Klopp.

Premier League Betting Tips

Manchester United (1.33) v West Brom (9.00); Draw (5.00)

Louis Van Gaal was just a quarter of an hour away from becoming the first Manchester United boss in history to draw four consecutive games 0-0, but a goal from Wayne Rooney stopped that.

Rooney’s header in the Champions League was the striker’s first goal in over 450 minutes of football and the England international will be desperate to try and put any kind of scoring run together.

The Old Trafford faithful voiced their concern over Anthony Martial’s substitution last time out in the league and the Dutchman isn’t winning over any fans with his style of play.

Opponents West Brom threw away a 2-0 lead at home to Leicester City to lose 3-2 and Tony Pulis would have been very upset at his teams complacency there.

After back-to-back victories and clean sheets over Sunderland and Norwich, the Baggies would not have expected to concede so readily at home and Tony Pulis’ side will be eager to return to their defensive solidity this weekend.

Hosts Manchester United have scored the second least goals out of the top nine sides in the Premier League, but Louis van Gaal’s side do have the joint-best defensive record in the division.

The Baggies were the lowest goal scorers in the league before they scored two against Leicester last time out and a win to nil for the home side doesn’t look too badly priced this weekend.

Liverpool (1.66) v Crystal Palace (5.50); Draw (3.60)

Jurgen Klopp has remained unbeaten since taking over from Brendan Rodgers in September and after three consecutive draws, Liverpool have now gained victories over AFC Bournemouth and most recently Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

The Chelsea victory was by far the best performance of the season for Liverpool and the brace from Phillipe Coutinho will hopefully mark the return to form of the Brazilian who was brilliant last year and started the season spectacularly with the stunning winner over Stoke City.

Opponents Crystal Palace stopped the losing streak last week with a creditable home draw against Manchester United, but the Eagles have previously shipped nine goals in three games before that.

Goals are often in abundance when these two sides meet with 20 goals in the last five meetings at Anfield.

Liverpool lost to Palace on the final day of last season, but under Klopp they’ll be hoping to build on their resilience so far with another three points.
