International Football Betting Tips – 12 October

International football takes centre stage over the next week with England welcoming minnows San Marino to Wembley on Friday.

Portugal travel to Moscow to take on Russia in the early kick off, with both sides yet to drop points in Group F. Fast starting Serbia host much fancied Belgium, World Cup champions Spain make the trip to Belarus, Italy travel to Armenia, whilst Holland welcome Andorra to Amsterdam.

Elsewhere the Republic of Ireland face their toughest test with Germany the visitors, whilst Wales face Scotland.

Football Tips for Today

Robbie Keane is the latest player to be unavailable for the Republic of Ireland, whose side have been hit by a number of injuries during the week.

Stoke’s Jon Walters looks set to be deployed as the lone striker with coach Giovanni Trappatoni attempting to frustrate Germany.

The Boys in Green will have a new look to their side when they take to the field in Dublin following the retirements of Shay Given and Damien Duff over the summer. A host of injuries have swept through the Irish team this week with Richard Dunne, Sean St Ledger, Darron Gibson, James McClean, Kevin Doyle and Glenn Whelan all ruled out.

Ireland’s opening 2-1 victory away in Kazakhstan was richly undeserved with Robbie Keane and Kevin Doyle both scoring late on to deny Kazakhstan three points.

That display will not give Joachim Low too many sleepless nights, with Germany proving relentless in Group C. Real Madrid’s Mesut Ozil has scored three of Germany’s five goals during qualification and Trappatoni has issued plans to man-mark the German on Friday. Marco Reus is another player the Irish will have to watch out for with Low set to use the full arsenal of his attacking personnel at the Aviva Stadium.

With the form and injuries of the Irish, Germany look set to come away with all three points and maintain their 100% record in Group C on Friday.
